In His Spare Time:
After graduating from high school in Raleigh, NC, he attended UNC – Chapel Hill where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Sociology. With a proclivity for healthcare in society from his undergraduate education, he decided to embark upon a graduate level education also in Sociology. Focusing on dentistry and society, his master’s thesis explored dental appearance and self-esteem. He was able to prove through research that those with better dental appearance were more likely to have better self-confidence, reaffirming the importance of dentistry in social and mental well-being, identity, and overall health. Upon completion of this degree, he spent a year working in educational research and successively completed a second master’s degree in Medical Science. Dr. Campbell then began his dental education at ECU School of Dental Medicine. After serving as Class President, graduating with honors and within the top of is class, he began orthodontics training at Nova Southeastern University.
Dr. Campbell is an aquarium hobbyist and enjoys gardening, cooking, exercise, reading, movies, comics, video games, photography and technology. He will soon be adopting a dog named Benji.
