Dental Assistants I & II

We are seeking a Dental Assistant who has the following qualifications:

  • Dental Assisting certification
  • Current CPR Certification
  • X-Ray Certification
  • Record of updated vaccinations
  • Experienced in four handed dentistry
  • Anticipates doctor’s needs
  • Executes all necessary lab procedures with accuracy
  • Directs patient flow through time management
  • Stocks treatment areas and monitors inventory
  • Ability to multitask
  • Has an excellent rapport with patients and teammates
  • Demonstrates equipment knowledge and performs regular equipment maintenance and care
  • Complies with all regulations, protocols and procedures
  • Exercises knowledge of dental instruments and terminology
  • Has a positive attitude and willingness to help others
  • Attends to patient’s needs and ensures a pleasant treatment experience
  • Dentrix (or comparable software) and digital radiography experience
  • 2+ years of professional experience

This position is full time Monday-Thursday with select Fridays. Compensation is based upon experience; and, a competitive benefits package is included with offer of employment.


We are looking for candidates who are comfortable working in a team-oriented setting and are able to handle the duties of an experienced Hygienist.

Candidates must possess a high school diploma and higher education is preferred. Our candidates should be proactive, friendly, outgoing and be willing to take initiative to get the job done. Candidates are required to maintain a level of professional decorum around other team members, including doctors and patients. We desire applicants who feel they are organized, can efficiently and effectively solve problems and those who are team players.

The following skills/experience are required:

  • Current NC License in Dental Hygiene
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Experience with Medicaid & Care Credit (for select offices)
  • Experience with Dentrix software
  • Computer functions (Microsoft Office or similar)


Dentistry of the Carolinas has more than 20 dentists and specialists; experienced support staff; along with new facilities and paperless, digital radiography.

Front Desk/Admin

We are seeking Front Desk/Administrative employees who have experience in the following areas:

  • Possesses high school diploma
  • Dental office experience
  • Greeting patients
  • Collecting payment
  • Verifying patient insurance and financial information
  • Answering high-volume phones
  • Experience with Dentrix software
  • Experience creating and maintaining a clinical schedule
  • Computer functions (Microsoft Office or similar)
  • Ability to operate office machinery to fax, photocopy, scan, and handle multi-line phone system
  • Patient communication as related to appointments, insurance, treatment plans, questions, finances & HIPAA privacy act
  • Takes a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Provides excellent customer service
  • Has a positive attitude and willingness to help others
  • Leads by example
